Garden of the Senator – Hadrian’s Villa (Tivoli)
On Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays

Organic Cheese/Wine tasting: Euro 33,00 per person
Groups: from a minimum of 10 participants to a maximum of 30/40

In the countryside near Rome and close to Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli, Anna Maria opens her private house and her enchanting garden to her guests. The relics of the villa of a Senator who lived in the Ancient Rome were found around the house and Japanese architect Sachimine Masui re-arranged them to create this unique garden with a sober oriental touch. Come and spend a quiet day while tasting a selection of organic cheeses and local wines.
Address: Via Maremmana Inferiore, 106
(Villa Adriana, TIVOLI)

What else to do in the surroundings:
Enjoy a full day in the picturesque town of Tivoli. In July, the city hosts a Jazz Festival for the first ten days of the month while on 10th August you may witness the religious celebrations and processions during the feast of Martyr Saint Lawrence and the “Inchinata” on 15th August: an evocative feast of medieval tradition lasting two days.

At the end of September, the Pizzutello festival takes place to celebrate through float parades the delicious “uva corna” (a variety of grapes).
You cannot miss a visit to Villa d’Este, the masterpiece Italian-style garden: its innovative landscaping and its 500 fountains, water plays, fountains and cascades. The Villa is included in the list of the Unesco World Heritage sites as well as Hadrian’s Villa. This large Roman villa built by Emperor in the early second century AD was a sumptuous complex of over 30 buildings, covering an area of at least 120 hectares. One the most impressive building is the Maritime Theater: a round pool with an island in the middle and surrounded by columns. The island, supposed to be reached through bridges, was probably Hadrian’s private studio.
